Simple model for heat transfer analysis of flat-plate heat exchanger with PCM and thermal performance simulation

A simple model for heat transfer analysis of flat-plate heat exchanger with phase change material (PCM) was built. It is valid for the case that the temperature and mass flow rate of the inlet fluid are time-dependent and also for the case that the coefficient of convective heat transfer is time and place dependent. The model is verified by the quasi-stationary solution reported in the reference for the cases considered. The thermal performance of a flat-plate latent heat exchanger including dimensionless fluid temperature, dimensionless phase change interface, rate of heat transfer, coefficient of heat transfer and location of the section in which phase change process has occurred entirely is undergone with this model. The model can be used for designing and analyzing the thermal performance of flat-heat exchanger with PCM.
