摘要
As optical fibers replaced copper wires as an information transmission medium, they paved the way for the advent of the internet, a revolution that has since transformed the world.. If coreless transformers (CLTs) can replace magnetic-core transformers, they will change the transmission technology of power, triggering a new technological change in the field of energy. The CLTs with high-efficiency and high-performance are achieved for the first time in the world based on the parity-time symmetry principle of quantum mechanics theory. The paper discusses the current research status of CLTs and the reasons for proposing the idea of CLTs based on the PT symmetry principle. Furthermore, the mechanism and operating characteristics of the proposed SS-type and SP-type PT-symmetric CLTs are introduced and compared with the CLT. Then two types of generalized PT-symmetric CLTs are extended to meet the needs of practical applications. Finally, the difficulties of PT-symmetric CLTs that need to be further improved and optimized in the future are presented. This study shows that PT-symmetric CLTs not only have the same characteristics as core transformers, but also can achieve unity power factor, making them a promising candidate for initial adoption in medium-to-low power, high-frequency power conversion applications. ©2024 Chin.Soc.for Elec.Eng.
