摘要
Hybrid DC circuit breaker (DCCB) is an important component of flexible DC grid, which is used to isolate DC side faults, but most of the existing topologies do not have fault current limiting capability and the cost is high. In this paper, a novel current-limiting hybrid DCCB topology was proposed, which had three working modes: main mode, current-limiting mode and circuit-breaking mode. And it could flexibly cope with different abnormal conditions of DC grid. This topology mainly used thyristors to realize fault current switching, which greatly reduced the use of IGBTs. At the same time, it cooperated with capacitors to realize the switching of current-limiting reactors and arresters to achieve fault current limiting and increase breaking speed. In addition, the working process of the proposed topology was analyzed and deduced in detail. Based on the PSCAD/EMTDC, the simulation was carried out in the single-terminal equivalent system and four-terminal DC grid, Compared with the existing typical topologies, the feasibility and superiority of the proposed DCCB topology can be proved. © 2022 Chin.
