摘要：

The state of the art in the research and the application of particle image velocimetry (PIV) to the measurement of the complicated flow inside turbomachine is described. The analysis about the characteristics of two dimensional PIV systems which are used for the measurement of the internal flow in turbomachine is made, and the research achievements in this field are summarized. Finally, the further development of PIV technology is presented.
