Underwater gliders are commonly used in marine environment for long-term and large scope of real-time monitoring, which are required to have excellent hydrodynamic characteristics. This paper studies how the body shape and sweep back angle effect on the hydrodynamic performance of gliders. Performances of underwater glider with different body shapes and swept-back angles are evaluated, such as drag, power conversion ratio and barycenter's offset, and the reasons are analyzed with the help of flow state of the airfoil. ©, 2015, Editorial Office of Ship Building of China.
