摘要
A unified state-space system model is established for a single-machine infinite-bus power system with STATCOM. Based on the theory and algorithm of information-structure-constrained linear quadratic (LQ) optimal control, four coordinated control strategies are obtained. They are state-feedback decentralized coordinated control, output-feedback decentralized coordinated control, LQ coordinated control constrained by a given information structure where generator's angular frequency deviation can be used in controlling STATCOM, and a centralized full-scale state-feedback coordinated control. Simulation results show that the four controllers are superior to the separately designed AVR/PSS excitation controller and PI STATCOM voltage regulator in enhancing system transient and steady-state performance. At the same time, the decentralized state and output-feedback coordinated control, schemes, though inferior to the other two coordinated control schemes, are more applicable because of their low cost and high reliability.
