Preparation of BaBi4Ti4O15 powder by sol-gel process

BaBi4Ti4O15 powder was prepared by Sol-Gel method. The powder was characterized by differential thermal analysis (DTA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), granularmetric analysis and so on. The results indicate that when the pH value of the precursor is 3.5, the Ba-Bi-Ti sol-gel can be prepared, and BaBi4Ti4O15 powder was obtained at the condition of calcining temperature of 750°C and heating rate of 10°C/min. The crystal size is about 60nm,and the particle size of the powder is from 150nm to 200nm, with the average size of 175nm or so. The experimental results show that BaBi4Ti4O15 powder can be produced by Sol-Gel process.
