The world's widest newsprint paper machine was recently started up at Stora Enso Langerbrugge. It is designed for a capacity of 400 000 tpy and has a wire width of 11.1 m. Andritz was selected as supplier of key components for the DIP plant, including the drum pulping, coarse screening, pulp dewatering, head-box and broke screening, medium consistency pumps, as well as sludge dewatering.
