ASTM proposing new reference spectra for irradiance standards

The ASTM proposal of new reference spectra for irradiance standards is discussed. The proposed spectra will represent typical clear sky spectral conditions associated with sites representing reasonable photovoltaic energy production and weathering and durability climates. These changes are expected to reflect a better understanding of the aerosol climate and atmospheric constituents resulting in more realistic conditions for durability, renewable energy production and window performance evaluation.
