摘要
The 3D printing composite forming process combines 3D printing technology with electro spinning technology. The composite forming process has obviously advantages in forming regenerative scaffolds with multi-scale and gradient structure which are most important for repairing some damaged tissue. Present a biological CAD/CAM system aiming at the 3D printing composite forming process. This system achieves not only the automatic monitoring of the forming process to ensure flexible composition of multi-process but also the automatic processing flow which is from STL model to the driver files of the processing hardware. Since the proposed system and method integrates the biological modeling software and the biological 3D printing composite forming system, the multi-scale information that can be included into CAD model or not can both be effectively processed, which is just the most obvious advantage of the proposed system and method. Ultimately, the effectiveness of the proposed system is verified by forming some bone tissue scaffolds. ©2014 Journal of Mechanical Engineering
