In this study, we propose an optical method for noninvasive and quantitative measurement of blood viscosity in extracorporeal circulatory device. Using self-made simulated blood images, we investigated a method to detect aggregation regions by extracting feature points. Then, we investigated the estimation of aggregation number and aggregation diameter using clustering. As a result, it is possible to detect aggregations and discriminate the number of aggregations and their size. © 2024 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.
