摘要
The river Yamuna is moderately polluted in the stretch upstream of Delhi and heavily polluted in the Delhi stretch. The pollution impact is the highest in low flow months. A surface water quality model - Mike 11, developed by Danish Hydraulic Institute - has been calibrated for the river for low flow months in the specified stretch with regard to BOD, DO and fecal coliforms based on historical water quality data and some freshly collected data. The model has been verified to forecast the effect of pollution control schemes that have been proposed for the river.
