A all-fiber photon-pair source for practical quantum communications is presented. The experiment involved the four-photon mixing in a nonlinear-fiber Sagnac interferometer (NFSI). A photon counting apparatus for detection of the signal and idler photons in coincidence was assembled. It was found that the fluorescence photons coming from the same pulse pump showed a strong correlation which was signature of their non-classical behavior.
