The explosion which the Internet had created in the paper industry in terms of revenues, sales and commerce is discussed. The usability of electronic commerce through the Internet facilitated better trading between the paper industry and its other customers. Better knowledge about customers and suppliers is available along with other products and services. The transactions are through websites and digital marketplaces, where there is direct access between customers and suppliers. These websites launch their products, provide information of the products to the customers, and thus boosted the sales. Working via the Internet reduced costs, improved as new customers were accessible. High profit levels were also achievable.
