摘要
The acquisition of measuring arms manufacturer Romer by Hexagon Metrology has resulted in the utilization of Leica Geosystems and creation of a Portable Metrology Group for portability and instant verification. The Romer users include static CMM users aiming for lower cost additional capacity, organizations relying on basic measurement tools, and users having no previous experience of measurement equipment. The innovative features of measuring arm technology include chip-controlled probes, portability enhancement, and automatic probe recognition. The measuring arms interface with PC DMIS 3D inspection, measurement, reverse engineering, and other industry-standard packages. The measurement arms brands of Romer have integrated features such as wireless communication (WiFi) with Li-ION battery, low profile zero-G counterbalance, and USB digital camera.
