A 3ω approach was developed to determinate the effective thermal effusivity of phage change materials microcapsules based on urea-formaldehyde and paraffin wax. The effective thermal effusivity of phage change materials microcapsules within the phage change temperatures range were measured using the established system. At the same time, the relationship between the effective thermal effusivity and temperature was analyzed. The effective thermal effusivity reaches its peak value within the phase change temperature range and its temperature peak value is consistent with the phase change temperature peak value.
