摘要
Simulation of catalytic reaction process using the Reynolds mass flux model described in Part I of these sequential articles was presented. The object of the simulation was the vinyl acetate synthesis in a packed bed. With the Reynolds mass flux model, the concentration and temperature as well as the velocity distributions were obtained. The simulation results were compared against the open experimental data and satisfactory agreement has been found between them. It is also found that the Reynolds mass flux model performs better than the conventional model due to the reason that by using the presented Reynolds mass flux model the anisotropic turbulent mass diffusion can be characterized with accuracy. Furthermore, anisotropy of the mass diffusion under turbulent flow condition has been discussed. ©, 2015, Tianjin University. All right reserved.
