Process of producing the plate steel in basic oxygen converter has been considered. This is low-alloy steel utilized for manufacturing the pipes applied in gas pipe-lines, at off-shore platforms etc. The steel contains niobium, vanadium, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, boron. Parameters of oxygen injection and slag conditions have been improved. Cleanliness of the steel is determined by deoxidation technology. In this case, content of aluminum in the steel is corrected in ladle. Silicocalcium is applied for controlling the shapes of non-metallic inclusions. Protection of the steel against secondary oxidation during continuous casting is provided. High-quality 13G1SU, 17G1SU, 09G2S steels are produced.
