Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International has announced the approval of AMCA standard 220-05, Laboratory Methods of Testing Air curtains for Aerodynamics Performance Ratings, as an American National Standard. The Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) announced a new cooperative agreement with the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHARAE) regarding standards development. The agreement states that ASHARAE develops method-of-testing (MOT) standards that describe how to perform product testing. ASHARAE is also working with the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) on the development of a standard for estimating air-conditioning and heating loads.
