摘要
Although guaranteeing Quality of Service (QoS) of users has become a key problem of network computing, i.e., grid computing and cloud computing, transferring advance reservation from the multi-media network to the network computing platform is not a trivial task due to the dynamic availability and performance of grid resources. To meet this challenge, a novel architecture for data centers spanning resource co-reservation is proposed. Specially, the virtual resource container (VRC) is employed to alleviate the negative effect resulted from the dynamic behavior of resources, and thus a resource negotiation algorithm is designed to increase the matching rate between reservation requests and resources. Our experimental results on the campus cloud platform have shown that, with the proposed architecture as a booster, the negative impact led by dynamics of resources can be remarkably alleviated and the stability of the whole system can be significantly improved. ©, 2014, Jisuanji Xuebao/Chinese Journal of Computers.
