Process of steel production with the use of vacuum degassers has been considered. The degassers have been manufactured at foreign and domestic companies. Designs of the degassers have been discussed. Refractories for the degassers have been described. Characteristics of the degassers have been presented. Process of vacuum degassing of steels of 08Yu and Sv-08G2S grades has been considered. Mathematical model of decarburization of the steels has been developed with the use of correlation methods. It has been shown that content of non-metallic inclusions in steel is reduced during its vacuum degassing. Efficient continuous casting of steel is provided.
