摘要
The topography and microtopography of faces of diamond single crystals seed-grown by the temperature gradient method was studied. Special features of the crystal growth are discussed and the type of their genesis was determined. The data on crystal morphology suggest that under conditions of temperature gradient two mechanisms of crystal growth (in layers and normal growth) are realized. It is shown that perfect crystals were predominantly obtained according to the mechanism of growth in layers.
