The activity of the 3rd International Scientific and Practical Conference 'Energy Consumption and Energy Saving: problems and solutions' (Perm', Russia, 2000) is described. The subjects of more 60 reports were the following ones: energy-saving policy, development of energy saving in the Russia regions and economics branches, problems of energy generation and transmission, problems of effective energy consumption, automatic accounting, energy-effective technologies, materials and equipment, ecology, personnel training.
