摘要
A physical model of a swirled gas flow is developed that allows to describe the Rank effect from the positions of gas-dynamic flow instability connected with vortex system occurrence. The presence of dynamic equilibrium between the near-axis and peripheral zones in vortex devices is revealed. A specific feature of the circulation contours is noted that consists in their periodic spontaneous occurrence and destruction.
