摘要
Recommendation for Limit State Design of Steel Structure (LSD) specifies the requirements for columns to guarantee sufficient strength and ductility. However, the requirements stipulated in LSD are based on the monotonic test results that were conducted by H-shaped steel columns. It is necessary to confirm the elasto-plastic behavior of square steel tubular column under compressive axial force with cyclic bending moment. Also, it is important to compare the monotonic test results and the cyclic test results. In this study, testing where axial force with one end cyclic bending moment are applied to the column simultaneously are conducted. Moment capacity, deformation capacity and the second-order effects that will be caused by Po moment were evaluated from test results. Comparison with LSD requirements and comparison with monotonic test results were also shown.
