The incorporation DA201 into an SBR-BR-silica compound was tested and the results obtained. The compounds were prepared in a laboratory internal mixer and all the tests were performed on the RPA 2000. The reference compounds were assessed in a frequency sweep at 80°C and the results were presented graphically. Results show that in the entire frequency range, viscosities for a compound with 2.5 phr of DA 201 are on the order of 95% of the value shown by the original compound. It is concluded that the addition of DA 201 to SBR-silica compounds will improve its dispersion, reducing its viscosity and using less energy during the entire mechanical transformation process. It is also pointed that an appropriate dispersing agent needs to act on the surface of the powders that make up the compound, and to disperse on them in order to reduce the electric charge values and to contribute to a prompt dispersion.
