Strong long-range correlations between the trajectories of Brownian particles were induced by hydrodynamic interactions. From an analysis of coupled trajectories, the distance dependence of all of the elements of the friction tensor between a pair of particles, both parallel and perpendicular to the pair separation vector, was measured. The measured values showed excellent agreement with Low-Reynolds number predictions for pair-wise hydrodynamics.
