Stereotactic frames are instruments for neurosurgical procedures and are to be made from plastics in the future. In order to be able to manufacture such systems, which are required in small quantities every year, economically, it was investigated how multi-material high-performance thermoplastic components can be additively manufactured from filled and unfilled polyetherimides. The focus of the investigation was on analysing and optimising the bond strength of printed multi-material structures. © 2024, VDI Fachmedien GmBH & Co. KG. All rights reserved.
