Relevant research has been conducted on the noise characteristics in the compartment of a sleeper car- riage and corresponding noise reduction measures. First,through the in-situ experiments,the noise characteris- tics in the compartment of a high-speed train are analyzed in detail,including the noise spectrum,sound source identification and sound quality. The differences in noise levels between the compartment's center and the mea- suring point above the pavement are obtained,and the noise control objective for the compartment is defined. Then,based on the method of statistical energy analysis,a noise prediction model of the sleeper carriage is es- tablished and validated. Using the validated simulation model,the acoustic energy contribution of the compart- ment is analyzed. The design index of the noise reduction scheme is determined,and then the sound insulation scheme of the carbody is optimised. Finally,through iterative prediction of compartment noise and field tests,the feasibility of the carbody noise reduction scheme is analysed and validated. The experimental results show that the total noise in the compartment is reduced by 3.2 dB(A)after the noise reduction measures designed in this paper are adopted. The original high loudness and roughness in the compartment have been significantly con- trolled,the sharpness has also been slightly reduced,and the sound quality has been optimised. © 2024 Nanjing University of Aeronautics an Astronautics.
