Multiple-image encryption algorithm based on a new composite chaotic system and 3D coordinate matrix

摘要
The image encryption technology is an important means to ensure network digital data transmission security. To improve the security and encryption computational efficiency, this paper proposes a new chaos-based image encryption algorithm. First, a new two-dimensional chaotic system is designed by coupling Sine and Henon maps. Comparative tests with other chaotic maps are conducted, and the results show that the new hybrid chaotic map has better chaotic performance in terms of the bifurcation diagram, Lyapunov exponent, sensitivity, etc.; second, a three-dimensional coordinate matrix is designed by the new chaotic system for the scrambling operation of multiple images; finally, the exclusive OR operation based on chaotic system is used for the pixel diffusion to obtain encrypted images. Experimental results show that the histograms of the encrypted images are even and the correlation coefficients approach 0. Meanwhile, the proposed algorithm can effectively resist the chosen plaintext attack, brute force attack, clipping attack, salt and pepper noise attack, etc.
