Properties and stability of a new kind of lead-free piezoelectric ceramics

0.995[(K0.50Na0.50)0.94 Li0.06]NbO3-0.005AETiO3(AE=Ca, Sr, Mg, Ba) lead-free piezoelectric ceramics were prepared by normal sintering. The effects of the AETi03 on the phase structure, dielectric, piezoelectric properties of the ceramics were carefully studied. The experimental results showed that all ceramics in this paper possess pure phase, and Li and AETiO3 improved the electrical properties of the ceramics. The 0.995[(K0.50Na0.50)0.94 Li0.06]NbO3 -0.005CaTiO3(KNNL-CT) ceramics exhibited optimum properties: d33=131 pC/N, kp=0.41, tan δ=0.032, εr=771, Tc=465°C. The temperature stability of electrical properties of the KNNL-CT ceramics was also studied. The results showed that the ceramics possessed good temperature stability. As a result, the KNNL-CT ceramic was a promising candidate material for practical applications.
