摘要
Currently, a number of challenges restrict the implementation of laser-based powder bed fusion (PBF-LB) in existing manufacturing processes. These challenges mainly include low build-up rates and high energy and scrap costs. Therefore, a more economical PBF-LB process has to be put into practice by means of suitable thermal process monitoring, multi-criteria process optimization, as well as variable laser spot diameter technology. © 2023, VDI Fachmedien GmBH & Co.
