Control of quality management in the supply network by agent-based simulation of crosscompany production

In order to simulate the behavior of companies' quality assurance in value-added-networks, an agent-based decision support system was implemented at the wbk Institute of Production Science. The system is based on quality assurance specific sub-models for products, companies, customer-supplier relationships and value-added-networks. The implementation was done with the simulation platform SeSAm. Initial tests confirm the successful mapping of the decentralized decisionmaking behavior, which is considered a key property for describing the behavior of real networks.
