BaFe12O19 ferrites were prepared by citrate sol-gel process using Fe(NO3)3, BaCO3 and citrate acid as raw materials. The complex dielectric constant and complex permeability dispersion were investigated in 1 MHz-6 GHz ranges. It was discovered that increasing the concentration of citrate acid as well as enhancing pH were effectively way to avoid the formation of Ba(NO3)2. The original formation temperature of BaFe12O19 ferrite was about 700°C. And the real part of permeability of BaFe12O19 calcinging at different temperature all decrease with measuring frequency increase, the μ- f curve exhibits an obvious peak due to natural resonance phenomenon.
