Periodically poled bulk KTiPO4 (PPKTP) exhibits a number of attractive features for intracavity frequency doubling. This article discusses the generation of watt-level power at 532 nm by intracavity frequency doubling of a laser-diode pumped cw Nd: YVO4 disk laser using PPKTP.
