摘要
In order to improve the flexibility and barrier properties, poly(L-lactic) acid (PLA)/nano-cellulose whisker (NCW) composite films with various components were prepared by solvent casting method. The structure, thermal properties, mechanical and barrier properties of water vapor gas and oxygen of pure PLA and PLA/NCW composite films were investigated. The results show that the NCW phase poorly disperses in the PLA matrix, whereas the poor dispersion can be improved when the 3-aminopropyl triethoxysilane (APTS) is added as interface modifying agent. The incorporation of NCW enhances the glass transition temperature, crystalline temperature and melting temperature of the composite films. Compared to pure PLA film, the relative degree of crystallization and the thermal stability of the composite films increase. The textile strength and modulus values of the composite films decrease with increase of the NCW content. However, these values increase as APTS is input. The elongation at break of the composite films obviously increases with increase of the NCW content. Moreover, the addition of NCW can improve the barrier properties of water vapor gas and oxygen of the composite films. © 2016, Editorial Board of Polymer Materials Science & Engineering.
