摘要:
The World Health Organization (WHO) has an active program in clinical engineering. Its primary objective is to build and strengthen the infrastructure for medical technology management in developing countries. In this context, medical technology management focuses on the resources needed to provide appropriate technology that is safe and effective for patient care. With funding by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, several health technology projects are underway. The author, a member of the Technical Advisory Group, describes clinical engineering-related initiatives under WHO.
