摘要：

High service life of lining of tundish plays very important role in process of continuous casting of steel. High-quality lining of tundish provides reliable continuous casting. In connection with this, required properties of refractory material utilized in the lining have been considered. This is basic material. Minimal contamination of steel with non-metallic inclusions should be provided. The material should be characterized by thermal insulating properties. Utilization of organic and mineral fibers in the material makes it possible to improve thermal insulating properties of it. The main characteristic of the material have been presented.
