摘要
The performance of bearing cage has great influence on the bearing working situation under the conditions of high speed and heavy load. The problem of cage may result in temperature rise due to friction in the contact area and even lead to bearing failure. To solve the key problem, a new structure 7014 angular contact ball bearing with side beams of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) cage is compared with the traditional bakelite cage. Two models are established using finite element method, and the numerical simulation is verified by bear temperature rise experiments. Using Fluent, the influence of the new structure of PEEK cage on the bearing airflow field, and the influence of the new material property on the bearing temperature field are studied. Finally, the PEEK cage is verified to have a good working performance. © 2017, Editorial Board of Jilin University. All right reserved.
