摘要：
The technological advancements in the paper and pulp industry were discussed. These included upgraded paper grades for printing and writing papers, higher requirements in paper brightness, lightness and printability. The use of advanced diagnostic systems for preventive maintenance to ensure better product quality, better measuring techniques and data processing was also recommended.
