摘要
Air natural convection on a heated inclined plate with a parallel shroud below has been experimentally investigated. Discrete heat sources at uniform flux are flush-mounted on the heated plate. The effect of the tilting angle on the maximum wall temperature is weak up to θ = 60°, whereas for θ>75° increasing the inclination increases the maximum wall temperature. Wall temperature profiles along the channel length are presented, for different values of the heat flux, the angle of inclination, the number and the arrangement of the heaters. The thermal behaviour when only one heater is on is similar to that of the upstream heater when more than one are on. Local Nusselt numbers, as a function of local Rayleigh numbers, have been evaluated and correlated in the 2.0&middot10-4.0&middot105 range of the local Rayleigh number. A unique correlation is presented in terms of the Rayleigh number and the tilting angle in the θ = 0°-88° range, for cases with one heater on and for the bottom heater when more than one heater is on.
