Experimental research on wake flow and internal waves generated by towing sphere in stratified fluids

摘要
Wake flow fields generated by towing sphere were measured using PIV in large stratified fluids tank. Wake flow and internal waves in the density jump at different towing speed were acquired. The configuration of body-generated steady internal wave and wake-generated unsteady internal wave were known about visually. The rule of velocity of internal wave with internal Froude number was analyzed. ©, 2014, China Ship Scientific Research Center. All right reserved.
