Energy costs cut into manufacturers' profits

The rise of gasoline and diesel oils have boosted the resin costs for panel manufacturers. The costs of natural gas and propane prices have also been raised. The higher oil prices have also raised the electricity rates and costs of plywood. The rise have only benefitted those manufacturers who own and operate co-generate plants by selling excessive energy.
