摘要:
Aerosol behavior was investigated in a heat exchanger, a model of one single tube of a Passive Containment Condenser (PCC) that is used in the European Simplified Boiling Water Reactor (ESBWR). The experiments were performed with insoluble (Ag) particles in three environments: dry, low steam and high steam conditions. In addition, hygroscopic (CsOH) particles together with Ag were investigated in high steam conditions. The steam condensation and particle diffusiophoresis rates were analyzed using semi-empirical engineering correlations for heat and mass transfer in a pipe and the Waldmann and Schmitt model for diffusiophoresis.
