摘要
That PD detection is carried out under the impulse voltage withstand test can more accurately judge the conditions of equipment insulation. Consequently, we studied the PD characteristics of defect with non-uniform electric field in SF6 gas under switching impulse waveform. The oscillating impulse waveform generating system was established and the switching impulse waveform conforming to the IEC 60060-3 standard was generated. The PD detection system based on UHF and pulse current methods was established. The needle-plane model was used to simulate the non-uniform electric field in SF6 gas. Moreover, the time delay, amplitude, number and phase of PD detection results were analyzed. The results show that PD occurs in the vicinity of peak of oscillating waveform and it will appear in multiple oscillating circles. The first oscillating circle has the stronger ability to produce PD and the first PD voltage is lower in first oscillating circle. The PD phase distribution width, PD amplitude, and number all increase with increase of the applied voltage. © 2017, High Voltage Engineering Editorial Department of CEPRI. All right reserved.
