A study was conducted to demonstrate that the nature of the relative phase between condensates depends on the method of entangling them. The entanglement that arise when an interference pattern between condensates is measured, led to a phase resolution given by the classical standard limit. When condensates were entangled by coupling, the nature of the phase is very different and the phase resolution can reach the fundamental Heisenberg limit.
