The efforts of TeliaSonera, in becoming a stronger player in the integrated IT and communications services market is discussed. Instead of organizing divisions along vertical product lines, the company is in the process of creating divisions along customer lines and pooling product resources. TeliaSonera has launched a voice over IP service for the Finnish corporate market, separate portal services for mobile users in Sweden and Finland and an 8 megabits per second DSL service for residential users in Sweden. TeliaSonera is also trying together its billing and customer care software as part of the shift and will not start to deliver synergies till the end of 2005.
