Numerical simulation of cylindrical liquid jet based on the MPS method

It is difficult for conventional mesh based method to simulate the liquid jet flow with large deformation, such as the breaking and shattering. The meshless moving particle semi-implicit method was introduced to calculate the complex unsteady flow of cylindrical liquid jet in this paper. Continuous inlet flow model was established based on the inlet velocity boundary condition, three kinds of typical jet flow as jet-wall flow, anti gravity jet flow and jets collision flow were modelled and simulated, the character flow phenomenon of them were qualitatively analyzed. The results show that the meshless moving particle method could capture the large deformation of those kinds of jet flows and considered to be a new numerical method to correlation studies.
