Unstructured grid solution scheme for hybrid meshes

Present study is focused on developing an unstructured grid solution scheme for hybrid tetrahedral, prismatic, and hexahedral meshes. Spatial discretization is accomplished by employing a cell-centered finite-volume formulation with flux-difference splitting. Higher-order differences are proposed in a simple cell reconstruction process that results in computational efficiency. Solutions are advanced in time by adopting Runge-Kutta time-stepping scheme with convergence acceleration to steady state by local time stepping and implicit residual smoothing. Solutions for single and hybrid mesh systems are presented to demonstrate code accuracy and convergence to steady state.
