In light of the characters of engineering geology and hydrogeology in Gansu Province and near areas, influencing factors of the design for waterproof and drainage in road tunnel are analyzed; the topographical features, vegetation, construction method, leakage of groundwater of loess and weak surrounding rock of highway tunnel in the district are investigated. Cause of leakage in the tunnel is analyzed. On the basis of the natural conditions, field investigation of seepage and disaster conditions of road tunnel, classification of outflow types for highway tunnel is presented with analogical method. Based on nine tunnels in Tianshui to Chankou Highway, principle of design for waterproof and drainage in highway tunnels construction is provided. Based on above analysis, four reasonable structural styles and section configurations for design of waterproof and drainage are proposed.
